Registration opened for the online course “Evaluation of Policies and Programs in Education for Democratic Citizenship”

Are you interested in expanding your knowledge about evaluation of education policies? Do you participate in the development of policies, programs or initiatives on citizenship education in which monitoring and evaluation could be strengthened?

The Second Edition of the course “Evaluation of Policies and Programs in Education for Democratic Citizenship” is a unique professional development opportunity for experts in evaluation of education policies and experts in citizenship education to deepen their knowledge on these topics develop new skills and exchange ideas and experiences with other participants from the hemisphere.

This course could help you contribute to strengthening and building capacities in your institution to evaluate citizenship policies, programs or initiatives, helping to make them more efficient and sustainable.

The course was developed jointly by the Inter-American Program on Education for Democratic Values and Practices, and the Educational Portal of the Americas of the OAS, and will be offered through its Virtual Classroom.

• Start and End Dates: April 17 - June 25, 2013
• Duration: 10 weeks
• Registration deadline: April 1, 2013. 
• Cost: US$150 for participants who meet all the posted requirements and are selected to benefit from the financial aid provided by the GS/OAS.

Participants who successfully meet all the course requirements will receive a Diploma from the General Secretariat of the Organization of American States, certifying they have completed and passed the course.
